About Victoria

Victoria has twenty years of experience as a clinical dietitian and nutrition therapist. Her philosophy is rooted in teaching clients to trust the wisdom of their own bodies ultimately allowing for healing, recovery, and outstanding performances. She considers food integral to cultivating connection, joy, and community and believes that attending to issues of social justice and the environment are essential in nutrition practice.

She has coached athletes from just about every sport having spent 8 years as the sports dietitian for Princeton University’s 38 DI teams. She works with youth, amateur age-group, professional, National, and Olympic level athletes from a wide variety of sports including rowing, ice hockey, basketball, football, soccer, and track and field. She has specialised expertise working with weight class athletes in combat arts, rowing, middle-distance track and other sports where power to weight ratio is emphasised. She also works with dancers, musicians, and stage artists who perform in physically demanding roles, or who spend long periods of time on the road, and whose rehearsal schedules are unrelenting. Additionally, she is a nationally recognized provider in the care of athletes of all genders suffering from relative energy deficiency, overtraining syndrome, and the athlete/artist triad.

In her nutrition therapy practice, she provides care for anyone (including athletes and performing artists) struggling with eating disorders and other eating and exercise-related concerns through individual, group, and family nutrition therapy in a supportive, inclusive, and non-judgemental atmosphere. All are welcome.

Victoria is a registered and licensed dietitian who holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition from Colorado State University and completed her dietetic internship at Hines VA Hospital in Hines, IL. She obtained a Master of Science degree in Biology at the University of Nebraska where she focused on ecology and environmental science. You can see her professional profile, publications, and recommendations on LinkedIn at www.linkedin.com/in/lambertrd.

When not at work, you can find her in the garden tending to her chickens and vegetables or in the kitchen cooking, making jam, or canning her favorite seasonal fruits and veggies. She also loves to hike, bike, and horseback ride and thoroughly enjoys riding motorcycles with her husband whenever they can.  She may also have the best dog EVER.
